Well-prepared shipments lead to efficient and accurate inventory processing. Follow these guidelines to ensure fast and seamless intake.
Note: While the standard timeframes are 1 day to mark shipments as arrived and 3 days to complete receiving, following best practices may result in even faster processing.
Packing & Organization

Pack one SKU per box whenever possible.
- Avoid mixing SKUs in a single box, especially if they look similar.
- If absolutely necessary, separate different SKUs using dividers and ensure all are clearly labeled.

Keep one SKU per pallet to maximize receiving efficiency.
- If SKUs must share a pallet, group all units of the same SKU together and keep SKU counts per pallet to a minimum.
- The most ideal configuration: one SKU per pallet → one SKU per case → clearly barcoded units.
Labeling & Barcodes

Barcode every unit and case:
- For items sold individually, apply barcodes to each unit.
- For items sold in cases, ensure the case is labeled with the correct barcode.
- Label every box with the corresponding SKU barcode.

Affix WRO labels to the outside of cartons or pallets:
- Labels must be visible, flat, and scannable.
- Include “ATTN: ShipBob” on the shipping label or BOL (Bill of Lading).

Shipping Requirements
- Create a WRO before carrier pickup to ensure labels are properly generated and affixed.
- Match system details: The physical product name, barcode, and unit of measure must match what is entered in the Faire <> ShipBob system.
- Delivered Duty Paid (DDP): For international shipments, send as DDP to avoid customs delays and additional fees.
- Dock height trucks only: Shipments must arrive in a dock-height truck for efficient unloading.
- Pallet size and weight limit: Maximum pallet height is 55 inches and 1,500 lbs.

Note: Failure to follow these requirements may result in significant delays to your WRO, potentially causing out-of-stock issues. Please follow all requirements carefully, and notify us immediately of any issues or confusion so we can help proactively. While investigating unlabeled shipments or any discrepancies, Unidentified Receiving Orders (UROs) may be created.
